Entkupplungsanlage. - Wie zu bedienen ohne Entgleisungen zu verursachen.

Einen habe ich noch, den ich nicht vorenthalten möchte:

**********************

Entkupplungsanlage. Ich glaube Du schriebst: "does not really
work."
I say: Works fine, if the magnet is positioned at least
3 studs from the engine (like in a 7760), and the operator exactly
knows where to stop the engine for decoupling
(in fact it works
with 2 studs distance but this precision is difficult to achieve).
If the engine is stopped too short, the little hooks conflict with
the contacts of the motor, if stopped too long the hooks either
conflict with the pin of the magnet or simply can't do their
job to the pins anymore. The experienced operator can HEAR,
if the hooks have been locked in decoupling-position correctly
(there is a certain buzz and the triangle-decorated brick must
have rotated all the way 90 degrees...). Too strong magnets
or too weak engines might be a problem, consider to put a few
layers of scotch tape on the magnet of the engine.
Ok, to be true, the decoupling device is not a toy, but once
you make it work and are familiar with it, it is great!
